It was a joy to work with Syd as she created art to rebrand the East Atlanta Strut festival online and in print.

She was open to feedback from the Strut board members and incorporated their ideas to come up with a wide range of beautiful and effective work: a set of illustrations to redefine the Strut's website and social media presence, an event poster, T-shirt design, and even yard signs so festival participants could show off their Strut credentials.

Syd also brought everything in on deadline, and was able to do a quick turnaround when we found we needed a bit more work. I've worked with enough artists to know those characteristics are exceptional.

Syd of Blue Heron Studio was a complete dream! The residents of my building wanted a new, quite large mural for our lounge, and I managed the project. We put out an open call for interested Atlanta artists. 15 applied. Among the 4 finalists, Syd was the clear favorite due to her beautiful and sophisticated work around town, her aesthetic, and her website/portfolio. When we asked her to submit a few us-specific ideas based on parameters of genre, color, size, patterns, etc., she instantly became our preferred artist! From then on and until completion of the mural, Syd was fantastically professional, positive, and flexible. She finished exactly on schedule. She always communicated with us quickly and with excitement. She had strong ideas from the start, and she gracefully accepted and incorporated our small revisions and preferences. She worked hard and fast. She made payment a breeze. And, we absolutely love the mural - a mid-century landscape of mountains, suns, and palm leaves. It's a wonderful manifestation of the digital renderings she made, it boosts the building's charm and glamor big time, and it absolutely mirrors the quality of other larger works in/on our Cabbagetown neighborhood's structures. Every condo resident seems thrilled, and our two co-builders/co-developers are hugely impressed. I've been recommending Syd/Blue Heron to everyone and anyone I can since our collaboration, and I hope to work with her personally again on something soon! If you commission Syd, you will be very, very pleased.
